Hi, I’m Dr Sara

I’m passionate about helping South Asian women to reach their full potential, which means a life without fear of becoming another one in the family with type 2 diabetes, restricted and weighed down by health challenges. I believe that with sustainable, culturally considerate diet and lifestyle changes, long-term health and wellbeing is possible and can become the cornerstone for an incredible, fulfilled life.

 

My work is founded on the premise that self-belief and resilience are strong drivers for what we are able to achieve when it comes to career, work-life balance and feeling connected with our loved ones. A woman who is taking care of her health and committed to self-growth is better equipped to deal with any curve balls life throws at her.

My qualifications

I am a registered pharmacist, doctor by PhD, Advanced Functional Imagery Practitioner and hold various certifications that enable me to advise on diet, lifestyle and health promoting behaviours. My unique style of coaching is only possible because of my diverse qualifications and experience resulting in a deep understanding of type 2 diabetes that I have gained over the past 10 years.

This is a safe space to ask questions about your condition, we will go into detail of your experience with lifestyle changes and gain a deeper understanding of where you lack knowledge and ways which I can support you to continue your health journey.

Reframe

In this stage we will work on how you can reframe your health trajectory. We will be working together on goal setting, understanding the ins and outs of the risk of developing type 2 diabetes, potential long-term health problems which can arise from high blood sugars, cultural impacts, boundary setting, eating habits, emotional impact, physical and mental wellbeing.

Redefine

When you are ready, we will create a clear plan for continuing your health journey on your own. At this stage you should have the understanding, knowledge and confidence to continue your health journey. When old self-destructive patterns rise up again,you will now have tools and positive experiences which can help you back on track.
